We’ve built a wide variety of sales and marketing material for BMD over the last two years. Showing their strength, reliability, and longevity in the industry is easy. Their relentless innovation, working knowledge, and range make the difference for petrochemical, marine, municipal water and more.

We built their website with as much force to match their production. The new year kicked off with putting the products front and center, and speaking directly to their audience.

After meeting with their executives to establish goals, timelines, and criteria, I got busy researching. My trusted ally, Blake Royer, and I put a plan of attack for branded content, flow of info, page visibility/readability, and more. Together, we organized the wants and needs for content pages and how they work off of the home page best. Copywriting was already a plus because we had so much already baked in from previous work, but still, things needed to be elevated and updated.

Some new product shots and some intentional art direction was a must. I opted for bright white backdrops, but with some watermarked industrial imagery like blueprints, hands working, and steel. I went with defined, crisp, hard edges to show the precision in this line of work and the trust-factor of these products. Nothing iffy about these; they’ve got to do the work as promised and they do.

I interjected diagrams and line drawings with images of product and images of industry/audiences. The selling points jump off the page when aligned like this. And BMD has the game to back up their name in “quality control.” I really liked the bold headlines and power words used throughout. It’s short, succinct, and strong. They get down to business with no fluff, and that’s the level of efficiency and integrity their target audience wants as well.

I am really pleased with the work we put into it and the results. The website looks super on mobile as well, giving the right attitude and boldness we set out to make in the beginning.
